From September 16 to 22, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the action entitled "ROAD SAFETY DAYS". The main goal of the campaign is, above all, the implementation of the ZERO VISION assumption, i.e. striving for the number of zero road accidents and zero road fatalities.
The Road Traffic Unit of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Szczecin has planned a number of activities to promote the "ROAD SAFET DAYS" campaign from September 16-22. Today, the policemen from the Szczecin road traffic were focused on activities related to Vunerable Road Users, and this group includes mainly pedestrians and cyclists. The main goal of officers during the service is to care for the safety of vunerable road users. Police officers pay special attention to offenses committed by drivers towards pedestrians. One of the worst offenses committed by vehicle drivers is not giving way to pedestrians who are at a designated pedestrian crossing. A vehicle that has stopped in order to give way to a pedestrian is often bypassed. These are the two most dangerous driving offenses committed against an vunerable/unprotected road user.
