The international ROAD SAFETY DAYS campaign with the participation of the Pomeranian Police

On September 16 - 22 this year. during the European Mobility Week, a campaign called ROAD SAFETY DAYS will be carried out in all European countries. Both control and educational activities will be carried out.
Police officers from theTraffic Unit of the Regional Police Headquarters in Gdańsk, coordinating the project in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, prepared numerous educational attractions with prizes for drivers and passengers. The cooperation was also joined by non-police institutions: the Regional Road Transport Inspectorate, the Volunteer Fire Department in Żukowo and the concessionaire of the AmberOne motorway.

Control activities will be carried out by Pomeranian traffic officers and road transport inspectors throughout the voivodeship. Special points, including the weighing of trucks, will be prepared at transport junctions along the AmberOne motorway. Drivers can expect increased controls focused on behaviors contributing to the tragic consequences of road accidents, such as: speeding, alcohol, not using seat belts, incorrect overtaking.

On Friday, September 18 this year. in hours 10:00 - 14:00, A road education point will be organized on the premises of the Volunteer Fire Department in Żukowo. Undoubted attractions will be instructional demonstrations of first aid and the opportunity to try alcohol goggles. Attractive prizes related to road safety have been prepared for people who will take part in the campaign.
